Welcome to Saint John Armenian Church

With this, our debut on our new blog, we offer our prayers to Christ our God, that this new medium in technology becomes yet another means of bringing the Good News of the Lord into your homes and connects you to the Armenian Church.

During this past year the spiritual and social life of our parish has been on the upswing. New faces, new programs and ministries, new challenges and opportunities to serve one another in the name of Christ have been born. How exciting!

In a parish, the magnitude of Saint John’s, it is a cumbersome task to get to know the pulse and complexion of the faithful community all at once and for the faithful to know their pastor. We have been blessed however with HYE spirits and high desire to link up and I see the connections happening. When you come to worship at the Divine Liturgy or are at the Church any other time, don’t hesitate to stop me and introduce yourselves.

COME is the key word here. Our Lord invites you always into his presence at worship and into the fellowship of Saint John’’ always. COME and learn, COME and be part of great happenings, COME and share your wisdom and talents, COME and serve and help us out, help each other. COME.

With the new millennium upon us shortly, we as Christians enter new horizons, unknown waters and challenging time ahead. Imagine, the Armenian Church – followers of Christ – alive and existing for 1700 years in spite of every calamity and adversity. Surly this is a sign and blessing from God, that He loves us, cares for us and will carry us in the decades ahead. With this milestone celebration ahead of us comes the opportunity to express our gratitude to God and tell our story – the ancient people of ARARAT have come down from the mountains and have been building the Kingdom of God in the pastures, the plains, the deserts of this earth and have remained faithful.

So you see, there is much to do, to celebrate as we pass the torch to a new generation. YOU will be the flame that warms the hearts and sheds light upon the pathways of the next generation. SO COME, and let us build those Altars to God and let us continues to pray saying

Glory to You O Lord, glory to You.
For all things O Lord Glory to You.
